1. The number of worldwide internet users is around 1.5 billion people. That means that it’s the perfect tool for PR professionals.
2. Some reasons the internet is useful for PR professionals: Information can be updated quickly, it allows interactivity, online readers can choose subjects that interest them, it’s cost effective, information can get around gatekeepers.
3. When writing for a website, the site must have an objective and one needs to write for the site with an audience in mind. One must also update with new information constantly, make the website interactive, easily navigable, and allow for feedback.
4. Using a blog is an excellent tool for public relations because readers can easily comment, it’s easy to start, you can use hyperlinks to other blogs and sites and everyone can participate in a dialog on the blog.
